Join us for a special holiday performance of live music performed by Orilla. For this performance, Ona Kirei and Alejandro Arenas will perform holiday songs from Catalonia, Spain and Latin America.

Ona Kirei
Vocalist, composer, and multi-instrumentalist Ona Kirei has an exceptional ability to move the listener’s soul with her expressiveness and virtuosity. Her music pushes stylistic boundaries that showcase remarkable compositional and arranging skills while displaying a profound emotional connection that makes it readily accessible to audiences. She was born in Barcelona, but she is truly a citizen of the world, having lived in Spain, India, the United Kingdom, and Austria, among other places. Kirei has performed to critical acclaim in venues and festivals across Europe and the United States, winning several national and international awards along the way. Kirei also recorded her solo debut album, ‘Mirage,’ featuring la Lucha and co-produced with Alejandro Arenas on July 2022. Learn more: www.onakirei.com.

Alejandro Arenas
Alejandro Arenas was born in Medellin, Colombia. He relocated to the US in 2001, becoming an in-demand upright and electric bassist. He has backed artists as diverse as Dick Hyman, Diego Figueiredo, Randy Brecker, Mary Stallings and Ken Peplowski, among many others. Along with being a composer and arranger, Arenas is an adjunct professor for the MIRA Program at St. Petersburg College. He is also a co-leader of the award-winning band, La Lucha, and has performed in many national and International festivals.
