A Surreal Soiree Inspired by The City That Never Sleeps
Sueños de Dalí fundraiser returns to The Dalí Museum with “Dalí in NYC”

ST.PETERSBURG, Fla. (October 1, 2018) – A taste of the Big Apple will surprise and delight audiences at this year’s installment of The Dalí Museum’s Sueños de Dalí (Dreams of Dalí). On Saturday, October 20th at 8pm, The Dalí Museum brings the famed city to St. Petersburg’s glittering waterfront for one night only, with “costumes encouraged, delight guaranteed.” This fundraising affair features live music, cocktails, costumes and dancing – all to benefit the The Dalí Museum’s mission as a nonprofit organization, to serve as a cultural resource in the community. The 2018 theme celebrates the city where Salvador Dalí spent every fall for over 30 years, New York City. Proceeds from Sueños de Dalí help support Museum programs that directly benefit the community, including free student field trips, Junior Docent summer camp scholarships and the Dali on the Fly mobile art museum.

The evening promises a whimsical, effervescent night in the big city, from horse-drawn carriages, diverse street performances and tantalizing tastes in Central Park, to a light-up dance floor at Studio 54 and performances on Broadway. The exclusive VIP setting is inspired by the King Cole Bar at the St. Regis Hotel, Dalí’s “studio away from home,” where he painted some of his most famous works.

In addition to dancing the night away, party-goers are invited indulge in outstanding themed food and beverages, inspired both by Dalí and the city that never sleeps. The evening will also include a variety of performers, including painted ladies, living statues, dancers and provocative performances by Amy Demilo. All guests will receive complimentary valet parking, access to themed bars including a Living Bar, custom cocktails, and a variety of tempting tastes and treats. VIP guests are invited to enjoy early admission at 7 PM (with a special performance to kick the evening off), exclusive catering from Sea Salt, access to VIP seating and a full open bar with custom craft cocktails.

The 2018 Sueños de Dalí is presented by CareValet, with support from The Cerf Family, Cynthia Faulharber on behalf of Suncoast Voices for Children, SMT, Fritz & Matthew Faulhaber, Nicolas Villanustre, MD, Plastic Surgeon, Reflections at St. Luke’s & Andrea Canedo Interior Design, St. Pete Pediatrics, and the DeBartolo Family Foundation.
