Within the sweeping walls of The Dalí Museum lives one of the most revered Salvador Dalí collections in existence. Our commitment to share these works with audiences around the world comes with the significant responsibility to expertly maintain these precious pieces. These rare and distinguished artworks are continually evaluated to determine their preservation needs.
With more than 2,100 works including 96 oil paintings, the conservation of these works is a vital part of the Museum’s mission: to care for and share an expertly curated collection of Salvador Dalí works. Without the necessary attention, important pieces within the collection are at risk of being retired to storage.
We need your help in maintaining the integrity of our continuously aging collection.
Gifts to Conservation + Care will ensure the longevity of our collection because they are designated for collection restoration. The Dalí Museum Annual Fund raises funds for pieces in most urgent need of attention. This year your gift will help maintain The Lane to Port Lligat with View of Cap Creus (c. 1922) and Telephone in a Dish with Three Grilled Sardines at the End of September (1939).
