“If someday I die, though it may never happen, I hope that the people in the cafes in Figueres will say,

‘Dalí has died, but not entirely.'”   –Salvador Dalí

Salvador Dalí is arguably the most famous and controversial artist of the 20th Century. His artwork is unforgettable and immensely popular. The Dalí Museum in St. Petersburg, Florida is home to an unparalleled  collection of his art, representing every medium and moment of his prolific artistic output.  More than 2,400 works, including 96 oil paintings, richly present his entire career, making The Dalí the only museum in the Southeast granted three stars by the Michelin Guide. The Dalí has more visitors than any other museum in Florida.

The current Dalí Museum facility opened on January 11, 2011 following the successful completion of a $38 million capital campaign. Thanks to the generosity of our community, the City of St. Petersburg and the State of Florida, the dream for an architectural icon is now a reality. Dalí’s amazing works of art finally have a home designed specifically for this collection. And the collection is secured on the top floor, protected from even a category five hurricane storm surge.

Now it is time to secure our future.

The Dalí Endowment will ensure a promising future for The Dalí Museum. Endowment gifts are permanently restricted and managed in investment funds to produce income and increase principal. Income annually generated by these invested funds support priorities of The Dalí Museum; its organizational stability; the protection and preservation of the collection; the acquisition of new works; and ensuring our continued accessibility for education and scholarship.

Please assure the continuity of The Dalí’s future with a gift to The Dalí Endowment today. There are many variations on ways to donate including gifts of cash, stock, credit card payments and IRA transfers.  Naming opportunities remain and all gifts of $5000 and above will be recognized in perpetuity in the Museum lobby. Please contact development@thedali.org to arrange a visit.
