Student Surrealist Art Exhibit 2020: Pinellas County

Initiated in 1992, this annual art exhibit presents work by middle and high school students whom we invite to explore ideas and visions similar to those explored by Salvador Dalí and the surrealists.

Discovering Dalí in Book Illustrations, Part 2

Salvador Dalí, known for his paintings, drawings, and even his own writings, was also an illustrator for many books. This exhibit displays reimagined illustrations Dalí created for Shakespeare’s literary works.

Publisher Isidro Clot contracted with Salvador Dalí in the 1970s to make a series of sculptures. In the mid-1980s, the Museum acquired a set of the cast bronzes which we are pleased to display in this special exhibit.
