The Florida Orchestra at The Dalí
September 23 @ 6:30pm – 7:30pm
Inspired by our special exhibition, Outside In: New Murals Inspired by Dalí, experience a unique musical offering exploring the intersections of sound and the artistic legacy of Salvador Dalí. Featuring selected works for string quartet, each piece is uniquely connected to themes of surrealism, metamorphosis and Dalí’s life. From Ligeti’s Métamorphoses Nocturnes, which captures the essence of Dalí’s artistic evolution through transformational musical variations, to the dreamlike quality of Satie’s Gymnopédie No. 1 and Koncz’s imaginative reworking of Satie’s work, this program guides listeners through a sonic landscape shaped by transformation, imagination and Dali’s influence.

Jina performed with the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra for six years, and during that time, she was very active in performing chamber music for BSO community outreach events and worked frequently with BSO’s Orchkids program as a teaching aid for group classes. She also served as a mentor through the BSO Orchlab program, coaching high school string orchestras.
Currently, Jina is the Violin Teaching Artist with the Florida Orchestra, working with the Education and Community Impact team to increase their social impact in the Tampa Bay community. In addition to performing with TFO, she performs regularly as a guest musician with the Philadelphia Orchestra
