Join us for this installment of our Coffee with a Curator series, where Museum Staff or invited guests speak on a range of Dalí-inspired topics.
This lecture will feature Dalí Museum Education and Community Programming Associate Joy Garrett-Douglas. Joy will present 10 alluring facts about the life of Salvador Dalí that might surprise you. From his early life to the end of his iconic career, we will dive into the surreal life of Dalí.
Location: The Dalí Museum’s Will Raymund Theater (registration required), with overflow seating available in the Raymond James Community Room or live on YouTube (link below).
Joy Garrett-Douglas, Education and Community Programming Associate
Joy Garrett-Douglas is no stranger to the Museum. Initially joining as a Junior Docent, continuing as a teen volunteer before going to college, and having interned in the Fall 2019 Semester for the Education Department – she has grown with the Museum. Joy graduated from Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD) with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Sculpture and Art History. Joy has a passion for art, history, museums and the enigma of Salvador Dalí.
