JOB TITLE: Copy/Content Producer
REPORTS TO: Marketing Manager
DEPARTMENT: Marketing

OVERVIEW

The Copy/Content Producer has two key areas of responsibility: copywriting/editing print & digital material and managing the Museum’s social media properties. This position works on multiple projects simultaneously and collaborates with departments across the organization.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Copywriting

  • Writes to consistently high standards, in a voice that aligns with the Museum’s brand guidelines – progressive & edgy while informative and engaging
  • Finds and applies insights from marketing data, consumer research and best practices to develop effective copy
  • Writes and edits Museum collateral copy such as brochures, signage and educational text panels
  • Writes and edits branded content across advertising mediums including digital, print, out-of-home, radio and video, closely collaborating with the Museum’s Art Directors 
  • Writes and edits copy for Museum website, social media and email
  • Writes, edits and proofreads copy for Museum constituent communications including direct mail letters, annual impact reports and other fundraising mediums 

Content Production & Social Media Management

  • Works with Marketing Manager to develop social media strategy
  • Develops editorial calendar based on Museum priorities and relevant social conversation
  • Researches, writes, produces and schedules social media content and campaigns
  • Produces engaging short form video content through scheduling, scriptwriting, capturing, editing and creating graphics; collaborates with Multimedia Producer as needed
  • Publishes content within Museum’s digital platforms, including WordPress (website CMS), Mail Chimp (email), Microsoft Dynamics 365 (email) and Sprout (social media)
  • Actively monitors and engages in social media conversations aligned with the brand; responds in timely manner to inquiries/comments
  • Identifies, connects and builds new communities of interests and advocates across social platforms to grow social media channels
  • Provides active/live social media coverage of select Museum events
  • Assists with evaluation, tracking and reporting performance across social platforms, optimizes engagement strategies based on learnings
  • Stays abreast of social media trends; provides input toward strategy
  • Maintains digital content on partner websites, such as chamber listings and tourism sites
  • Distributes and uploads monthly Museum events to media and “to do” community websites

QUALIFICATIONS

  • A passion for the arts and mission-based/non-profit work
  • BA/BS in writing, marketing, communications or equivalent
  • 2+ years advertising/promotional copywriting experience
  • Exceptional writing skills including ability to communicate relevant information in a manner that prompts the desired action by the audience
  • Experience producing content for social media, including video capture/editing
  • Sharp attention to detail and deep understanding of grammar
  • Self-starter, motivated, excellent follow through
  • Excellent communication, proofreading skills and interpersonal skills
  • Social media in-platform and third-party scheduling/listening/reporting apps experience preferred
  • Content Management System(s), web and email management systems experience preferred
  • Knowledge/experience in copywriting for SEO is a plus
  • Available for occasional work after hours to monitor social conversation as well as nights/weekends and/or holidays, as dictated by Museum event schedules

JOB TITLE: Marketing Analyst
REPORTS TO: Marketing Director
DEPARTMENT: Marketing

OVERVIEW

The Marketing Analyst overseeing the CRM database (MS Dynamics) and the integrity of its data; organizing and interpreting quantifiable and qualifiable data for the Marketing and Development departments; and tracking, automating and optimizing marketing communications. They leverage their in-depth knowledge of the software’s capabilities, their understanding of the Museum’s marketing objectives and their skills as a collaborator to lead the organization’s use of the primary database. The position reports to the Marketing Director and closely collaborates with Finance, IT and Development. 

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Serves as System Administrator of the Museum’s CRM database platform, MS Dynamics 365
  • Proactively identifies and implements database modifications to support accurate recording, reporting and queries
  • Assesses the functionality of the CRM platform, collaborates with Finance and IT, or directly with vendor, to trouble-shoot and repair
  • Verifies the integrity of information/data to ensure complete and accurate records
  • Creates & compiles reports and pulls & analyzes data for Marketing and Development; assists other departments with ad-hoc reporting/analytics requests
  • Streamlines data capture throughout the transaction lifecycle
  • Ensures the database is segmented effectively for targeted marketing & development activities
  • Develops and activates CRM strategies to drive customer retention and maximize engagement
  • Creates real-time CRM dashboards and establishes automated communication workflows
  • Analyzes and reports on visitation trends and marketing campaigns 
  • Develops and analyzes in-house surveys
  • Creates lists for marketing and fundraising campaigns & communications
  • Trains and supports internal CRM users including creating and maintaining SOPs
  • Participates as an active member in the CRM and ticketing online communities
  • Collects and mines data for grant applications and annual reports

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Builds and deploys email communications within MailChimp and the CRM platform, Power MailChimp
  • Tracking and reports email performance
  • Oversees marketing email calendar in collaboration with Marketing Manager
  • Assists Development department with donor constituent reporting functions
  • Assists IT and Finance department with Galaxy ticketing platform as needed, including ticket modifications, POS menu adjustments, building ticketed events and processing transactions.
  • Assists with set up and analysis of ticket promotions and offers
  • Assist with membership processing and benefits fulfillment as needed

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Passion for the arts and mission-based/non-profit work
  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • 3+ years relevant experience in database management and/or CRM management
  • Knowledge/experience in MS Dynamics 365 CRM and MailChimp Systems preferred
  • Experience working in Survey Monkey a plus
  • Proficiency in data analysis, queries, reports, and imports with exceptional MS Excel and SQL aptitude
  • Strong critical-thinking, analytical and problem solving skills
  • Exceptional computer and technology skills
  • Excellent communication and training skills

JOB TITLE: Visitor Experience Specialist
REPORTS TO: Visitor Experience Management
DEPARTMENT: Visitor Experience
STATUS: Non-exempt
SALARY: $15/hour

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Interact with visitors at various locations within the Museum by rotating in these areas:

  • Selling admission tickets & memberships
  • Gallery attendant
  • Digital Experience attendant

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

  • Customer service skills
  • Interpersonal communication skills
  • Point of Sales Systems knowledge
  • Comfortable with technology
  • Proficiency with computer business programs (word/outlook)
  • Comfortable in a dynamic work environment
  • Bi-lingual an asset but not required
