in loving memory of marshall rousseau

The Museum is mourning the loss of our former director and dear friend, Marshall Rousseau, who passed away on October 12, 2022. During his time as the Director of The Dalí, from 1991 to 2001, he enabled the Museum’s growth as an organization: leading it through our first accreditation, making our first loans of art, and creating a world-class store. After retiring from The Dalí, Marshall continued to have a profound influence on our arts community, serving on multiple boards including the Florida Orchestra and interim director of The Ringling museum. He was also an adjunct professor at Eckerd College, encouraging life-long learning.
