Student Surrealist Art Exhibit 2019: Pinellas County

January 12, 2019 – March 11, 2019

Initiated in 1992, this annual art exhibit presents work by middle and high school students whom we invite to explore ideas and visions similar to those explored by Salvador Dalí and the surrealists.

This first-of-its-kind exhibit is dedicated to the world’s two most celebrated surrealists. Showcasing exemplary pieces from both artists, the exhibit reveals what lies beyond the simple appearance of painted images.

The Dalí invited renowned nature photographer Clyde Butcher, to explore and visually document Salvador Dalí’s homeland. The exhibit provides a technically brilliant, epically scaled view of Dalí’s beloved environs.
