Workshop: Ekphrastic Writing and Murals

August 26 @ 6:00pm 8:00pm

Join us for a guided ekphrastic writing experience that transcends the ordinary. The event will begin with a private viewing of Outside In: New Murals Inspired by Dalí—a bold, immersive exhibition where surrealism spills beyond the canvas and onto the walls themselves.

Let these vibrant, dreamlike murals ignite your creativity. Through guided prompts and discussion, you’ll channel your sensory impressions into a one-page poetic or narrative response. Whether you’re inspired by color, texture, memory or emotion, this is your invitation to explore the intersection of visual art and the written word. To culminate the evening, participants will have the opportunity to perform their work in an intimate, salon-style reading—turning personal reflections into shared resonance.

Location: The Dalí Museum’s Raymond James Community Room
Cost: $30 for Museum members | $40 for non-members
Materials and exclusive gallery access are included.
