Sueños de Dalí

October 25 @ 7:30pm 11:00pm

a surreal soirée of wonder & enchantment

Join us for Sueños de Dalí, The Dalí Museum’s signature fundraising event. This year’s theme, Olympus Reimagined: A Night of Surreal Myths, draws inspiration from Salvador Dalí’s dreamlike vision of mythology. For one night only, the Museum will transform into a surreal Mount Olympus—reimagined through Dalí’s signature lens of distortion, symbolism and surprise.

Guests will enjoy full Museum access, including a last-chance viewing of our special exhibition Outside In: New Murals Inspired by Dalí, along with complimentary cocktails, hors d’oeuvres from local restaurant partners, live music and entertainment, exclusive raffles and more. Plus, unexpected delights and captivating experiences throughout the evening.

Costumes may channel mythological legends, warped archetypes or Dalinian takes on power, beauty and chaos. Think: gilded armor with melting clocks, Medusas with forked hair, Icarus wings dripping like wax or a modern Minotaur in a business suit. Be inspired: find costume inspiration on our Sueños de Dalí mood board.

Dalí saw mythology not just as ancient narrative, but as a way to tap into the subconscious. He explored mythic themes throughout his work, as seen in The Mythology (1963–65), Venus de Milo with Drawers (1936) and Three Young Surrealist Women Holding in Their Arms the Skins of an Orchestra (1936), among others. His symbolic imagination, filtered through the lens of myth, presents surreal versions of classical figures such as Oedipus, Narcissus, Leda and beyond.

This event is 21+.

All proceeds support The Dalí Museum’s mission and provide creative discovery through inclusive educational programming, and bring world-class exhibitions to our community.
