A limited-time, 360-degree experience in collaboration with Arte Museum, Surreal Nature is a plunge into an immersive, meditative escape
ST. PETERSBURG, FLA. — On July 10, The Dalí Museum will unveil Surreal Nature in The Dalí Dome, surrounding visitors with blooming flowers, ancient forests, luminous nightscapes and crashing waves at their feet. Created in collaboration with Arte Museum, the latest dome offering reflects The Dalí’s commitment to innovation at the intersection of art, technology and storytelling.
Arte Museum, created by Seoul-based digital design and art company d’strict, has redefined immersive exhibitions through the seamless integration of digital art, light, sound and scent, welcoming millions of visitors across eight countries. Presented for the first time and custom-designed in a 360-degree format, this 30-minute experience offers a meditative, yet fantastical escape in the immersive setting only The Dalí Dome can provide.
“Salvador Dalí saw the world in ways no one else could, reimagining nature into something entirely his own—Surreal Nature carries that spirit forward, inviting visitors to experience the natural world made new again,” said Hank Hine, Executive Director of The Dalí. “The Dalí Dome has always been a space for art without boundaries, and Surreal Nature extends that vision, offering our community a rare moment of stillness, beauty and wonder.”
The limited-time experience unfolds in two chapters: Ocean immerses guests in the power, mystery and beauty of the sea, guiding visitors through a series of oceanic landscapes shaped by movement and light. Land follows, beginning with a pulse of life and growth before unfolding into blooming gardens, cascading waterfalls and a mystical forest that culminates in a bioluminescent jungle, where glowing creatures blend into their surroundings.
“The Dalí Dome gave us an entirely new canvas—unlike anything we’ve worked with before. Its shape and scale transformed our approach to every element, from the choreography of light to the movement of sound. Visitors won’t be watching nature, but standing inside it. We see this collaboration as the beginning of a deeper presence for Arte Museum across the United States,” said Sean Lee, CEO, Arte Museum and d’strict.
Designed to be explored from every angle as you move throughout The Dome, each step reveals new details. Both evening and daytime shows are available. For more information, including showtimes and pricing, visit TheDali.org/SurrealNature.
