1980s Classic Ghostbusters to Kick Off Series, Tuesday, June 17th
St. Petersburg, FL (June 5, 2014) – The Dalí Museum announced that their Second annual Cult Classics Summer Movie series will be offered once again on the patio of the Museum’s Avant-garden from June through September. Doors open at 7pm; movies will begin at sunset. Admission is FREE and open to the public.
The popular series kicks off with the 1984 classic, Ghostbusters, in celebration of the 30th anniversary of its release. Guests are invited to bring a lawn chair and enjoy the film, a cash bar, food trucks and games. (No pets, coolers, outside food or beverages are permitted.) The Real Tampa Bay Ghostbusters – an organization dedicated to community outreach – will don their ghost-busting costumes for quintessential photo opps with attendees.

Ghostbusters: Tuesday, June 17
Wayne’s World: Tuesday, July 15
Airplane: Tuesday, August 19
Fight Club: Tuesday, September 23
During the films, the Museum galleries will be closed; visitors can return during normal Museum operating hours to view the permanent collection and special exhibition, Marvels of Illusion, which runs June 14-October, 12, 2014. The films will be offered “rain or shine” (inside the Museum’s Raymond James Community Room in the case of inclement weather).
