The Dalí and Tampa EDITION Festive Tree

In the spirit of the season, The Dalí Museum is partnering with The Tampa EDITION to transform one of Salvador Dalí’s holiday cards into a whimsical, festive creation. Best known for his surrealist masterpieces, Dalí created a series of holiday cards for Hallmark and Hoechst Ibérica in the 1950s–70s, showcasing his unique style and iconic Dalinian symbols, including butterflies and celebratory figures set within a dreamscape.

This year, inspired by Dalí’s 1958 holiday card Wings, The Dalí Museum has reimagined the traditional holiday tree as a surreal creation. Standing 15 feet tall in the EDITION lobby, the ethereal tree is crafted from delicate pampas grass and adorned with handmade paper butterflies, bringing Dalí’s fantastical world to life.

The tree will be on display at The Tampa EDITION throughout December, alongside a small display featuring Dalí’s holiday card imagery with the butterfly motif. Custom holiday cards, featuring Dalí’s Mariposas (1967) butterfly design, will also be available for purchase, with a portion of the proceeds donated to the Museum.

In addition, the hotel will offer a signature Spanish-inspired holiday cocktail with proceeds benefiting the Museum.
