Talent Within: The Dalí Staff Art Show Online Exhibit

< All Exhibits

August 26, 2023 – Indefinitely

Talent Within: The Dalí Staff Art Show celebrates the creative work of The Dalí Museum staff.

In the spirit of inclusion at The Dalí, this online exhibition provides a space for staff to share their creative endeavors with each other, the community and beyond—an opportunity to showcase multiple artistic expressions and perspectives.

Like many of those who live and work in our community, The Dalí staff are inspired by the Museum’s world-class collection. Many of our staff are practicing, talented artists reflecting a diversity of approaches, techniques and mediums, including drawing, mixed media, painting, photography, pottery, printmaking, crocheting, sculpture and more.

Previously featured in The Dalí Museum’s Raymond James Community Room from Aug 26-Sep 4, 2023, this online exhibit is for all to enjoy.

Talent Within: The Dalí Staff Art Show was created and organized by Betsy Rosado, with assistance by Museum Staff, and was the first Dalí Museum staff exhibition.

This painting was created after a long dark period in my life and is symbolic of the color and vibrancy being renewed within myself. The coloring is blended and scattered to represent the messiness in life. I was inspired by Monet’s brush strokes, creating a fluid piece with vague lines. This piece represents a metamorphosis in my soul.

Can you not recall the terror you felt when the one you trusted transformed before your eyes? To have put your faith into something you thought was sacred, and safe. Then the façade cracks and crumbles away leaving you to wonder how you didn’t spot the signs before, for the saint you knew had always been a demon you were unable to see through the lens of your trust. Forsake them and move forward…with suspicion in your heart.
