Workshop: Cloisonné Night Lamp
- This event has passed.
November 4 @ 6:00pm – 9:00pm
Join us as we celebrate 100 years of Surrealism with an enchanting evening of Cloisonné art inspired by Salvador Dalí’s surrealist masterpieces. The event begins with a 30-minute visit to the gallery to spark creativity. Then, taking inspiration from surrealism, you will create your own illuminated artwork: a Cloisonné night lamp (4.5″ x 4.5″), featuring your choice of either a rose or butterfly design—both subjects in Dalí’s art. The instructor will provide all materials and guide participants through this ancient enameling technique. You will add your personal touch to the designs and apply vibrant enamel color sets of your choice. You will take home your unique, functional art piece, embodying Dalí’s influence and your own artistic expression.
Location: The Dalí Museum’s Raymond James Community Room
Cost: $40 for Museum members | $50 for non-members

Create, Relax, and Connect Through Cloisonné Art
Cloisonné is a centuries-old Asian enameling technique that creates stunning, colorful designs using metal wires and vibrant enamel. Melissa, the owner of Asia Aesthetics, has a passion for bringing the ancient art of Cloisonné to modern audiences. In our fast-paced world, she has witnessed how Cloisonné crafting can help people de-stress, create meaningful memories, and make unique gifts. Each piece created is more than just art; it’s a personal expression of creativity and a tangible memory of a moment carved out for oneself or shared with loved ones.
