Inspired by Salvador Dalí’s environmental and immersive artistic creations such as those for the 1939 World’s Fair, The Dalí Dome provides the community with new multi-sensory experiences celebrating art of all forms. New evening shows will be presented in this unique, 360-degree format.
Playing in The Dalí Dome on select Thu, Fri & Sat nights through Oct 4 is the immersive show, “Pink Floyd: The Dark Side of the Moon.” Over 50 years after the iconic album’s original release in 1973, celebrate and experience it while encompassed in 360 degrees of sight, sound and sensation. This experience offers—like Salvador Dalí’s art—a glimpse into creative worlds that are both remarkably insightful and fantastically unconventional.
This show is no longer available in The Dalí Dome.
Pink Floyd, renowned for their revolutionary impact on the music industry, has embraced how the show artfully blends the album’s themes of everyday modern life with breathtaking views of the solar system and beyond. Played out to 42 minutes of The Dark Side of the Moon in surround sound, each song has a different theme, some futuristic and some a retro acknowledgment to Pink Floyd’s visual history, all relating to a time and space experience, making it the perfect backdrop to celestial visuals. NSC Creative led the visual production efforts, working closely with Pink Floyd’s long-time creative collaborator Aubrey Powell from Hipgnosis.
Featuring the latest technology The Dalí Dome offers, this is an all-encompassing surround sound and visual treat that will transcend reality and take you way beyond the realms of 2D experience.
