Junior Docent Art Camp
Created in 1984, the Dali Museum Junior Docent Program is a summer camp offered to children 9 to 12 years of age. The Junior Docents are trained in a one-week session where they receive personal attention as they learn about the collection. This program concludes with a Friday afternoon tour and reception where the children get to share their knowledge of Dali and his paintings with the public. Junior docents are encouraged to put the information in their own words, helping them to appreciate art in new ways. They participate in fun, surreal-inspired activities; and they make new friends. Three one-week sessions every Summer. Learn more.
Recreation Center Summer Program
An innovative five-week series of summer workshops, offered with the support of Creative Pinellas and the Pinellas County Board of County Commissioners, provided to high-need students in five St. Petersburg Recreation Centers. The workshops provide 10 hours of close, sustained contact between students and instructors, developing the students’ self-esteem, an understanding of Dali and Surrealism as well as guidance through project creation.
