In this interactive experience with The Florida Orchestra’s educators and musicians\, you are invited to explore how sound can be shaped through conversation\, imagination and art. Together\, you’ll create a live\, original composition inspired by your own interpretations of Dalí and Giacomettí’s works. No exchanges or refunds. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nLuz Vasquez \n\n\n\nLuz Vasquez is a multidisciplinary artist and educator who studies how different art mediums\, such as music\, painting\, or dance\, can influence an individual and shape how they express themselves. Luz earned her performance degree at the University of Houston and her graduate degree in performance and chamber music from the University of South Florida. Luz is now part of The Florida Orchestra Education and Community Engagement program\, which brings free violin and viola lessons to Pinellas and Hillsborough Counties in Florida. She is a founding member of the Up Beat Music Festival in Houston\, Texas\, and the Classical Mile movement\, which brings music and visual art immersions to the community free of cost. As an educator\, Luz introduces music and movement through fun games that build physical dexterity\, awareness\, and breathing exercises\, along with targeted stretches and meditation. She uses visual arts and musical elements to develop human connections and to create a sense of community. \n\n\n\nLuz is a certified Yoga for Kids instructor and a Suzuki-trained violin teacher. She presented at the annual District-Wide Training for teachers in Pinellas County\, Florida\, a conference tailored to making music teachers more effective. She has taught music and movement workshops at the Tampa Metropolitan Youth Orchestra Summer Camp\, YMCA\, and Mort Park in Florida. Luz was a panel instructor at the Prodigy project for the Central University Area Community Development program. Additionally\, Luz was a Presenter at the annual District-Wide Training for teachers in Pinellas County\, Florida. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nSebastian Stefanovic \n\n\n\nViolist Sebastian Stefanovic joined The Florida Orchestra in the fall of 2022. He is a Baltimore native and completed bachelor’s and master’s degrees at Rice University’s Shepherd School while studying with Ivo-Jan van der Werff. \n\n\n\nStefanovic is a passionate advocate for new music and the expansion of the viola repertoire\, and he has commissioned\, premiered and recorded a variety of solo and ensemble works\, including the winning composition of the American Viola Society’s Gardner Prize\, as well as participating in the 2025 Cabrillo Festival of Contemporary Music in Santa Cruz. \n\n\n\nAs a chamber musician\, he has received quartet fellowships at the Aspen Music Festival and the Robert Mann String Quartet Seminar. He enjoys inventive and multifaceted programming\, frequently curating interdisciplinary collaborations as a core member of Houston-based conductorless string orchestra Kinetic Ensemble\, which recently completed a weeklong residency at MIT and debuted a self-titled album at the top of the Billboard Classical charts. \n\n\n\nSince moving to Tampa Bay\, Stefanovic has helped create and co-teach three years of Community Strings summer programming as TFO’s first community embedded musician. He is also the director of the Pinellas Youth Philharmonic. \n\n\n\nWhen not playing music\, Stefanovic enjoys cooking\, reading\, pickleball\, and soccer. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nJessica Hong \n\n\n\nJessica Hong joined The Florida Orchestra in 2025 as the new Cello Teaching Artist. She is a New Jersey native and received both her bachelor’s and master’s degree at The Juilliard School\, studying with Joel Krosnick and Clara Minhye Kim. Before coming to the Tampa Bay area\, Jessica was a fellow at the New World Symphony in Miami\, under the baton of both Michael Tilson Thomas and Stéphane Denève. \n\n\n\n            As an avid orchestral and chamber musician\, Jessica has performed at prestigious programs such as Spoleto Festival USA\, The Perlman Music Program Chamber Music Intensive\, Music Academy of the West\, and Kneisel Hall. Although she loves performing\, Jessica also discovered her passion for community engagement throughout career. Whether it was managing her own volunteer outreach groups\, mentoring young students\, or playing at local children’s hospitals\, she always emphasized the importance of connecting with those around her and using music as a bridge to reaching younger and newer audiences. \n\n\n\n            Jessica has been loving her new chapter at TFO. Not only is she able to play with an incredible ensemble\, but she also gets to continue her passion for community engagement\, connecting with students and teachers in almost 30 schools in Pinellas County. \n\n\n\nWhen she’s not making music\, Jessica enjoys her free time exploring different cafes and restaurants in the area. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAbout The Florida Orchestra  \n\n\n\nThe Florida Orchestra’s mission is to INSPIRE | EDUCATE | UNITE to build community through the power of music.
