Join us at The Dalí as Scott Gebicke, Head of Global Energy at Jabil, discusses innovations in Artificial Intelligence (AI), Virtual Reality (VR) and 3-D technology in From the Production Floor to Artistic Experience.
Scott, whose work encompasses IoT (the internet of things), will present a sweeping view of how the terrain of our culture alters with the advance of digital technologies. He will examine some of the experiences The Dalí has implemented to enhance the understanding of and pleasure in our artworks, as well as digital advances on other fronts. His talk will touch on what promising technological innovations lie ahead, and the potential negative repercussions of constantly evolving tech in our lives.

Scott Gebicke is the Global Head of Energy, Industrial & Building group for Jabil. He leads a team of operations, technical, and business leaders to deliver manufacturing services across a wide range of renewables, grid level solutions, meters, industrial automation, and IOT building devices. Previously, Scott served as President of Jabil Defense and Aerospace Services, leading the expansion into aerospace machining, UAV propulsion products, and ultra high mix/complexity manufacturing. He was also responsible for Jabil Emerging Markets, which supported early-stage hardware companies through design, development and scale. As a leader in McKinsey & Company’s Industrial practice, he served industry and government clients across a number of functional areas including growth, innovation, and operational turnarounds. Scott served 7 years as a U.S. Navy Officer, with significant operational combat experience in Aegis weapons systems and maritime anti-terrorism. Scott holds dual BS in Industrial Engineering and Economics from Vanderbilt University, and an MBA from London Business School.
