SOLD OUT! Junior Docents Online: Storytelling with Dalí
Become a Junior Docent at The Dalí Museum’s weeklong ONLINE camp, where campers discover new ways to interpret and create art, virtually meet new friends, and have fun all from the comfort and safety of home. This year, campers will focus on storytelling. Finding inspirations in the stories found in Dalí’s art, campers will make their own narrative art each day that weaves a tale and sparks the imagination.
Campers will learn the fundamentals of interpreting a painting, share a compelling story, and gain a deeper understanding of the power of images. Not only will campers learn about Dalí and surrealist art, but they will be empowered to think independently about art and express their own thoughts.
The week will conclude recorded presentation by campers that showcase their personal voices, Dalí knowledge, and their very own surrealist art. These presentations will be shared on the Museum’s website and campers will be welcomed back in the fall to present in our galleries for their friends and family.
Junior Docents Online is open to both Elementary and Middle School from ages 9-14. All ages may attend either week. Campers will be divided into smaller break-out groups by grade to allow for age-appropriate instruction and social interaction.
