Membership Event: Exhibit Preview Days

Thursday, Jun. 13, 12pm–Friday, Jun. 14, 5:30pm

Members are invited to preview the special exhibitions Visual Magic: Dali’s Masterworks in Augmented Reality and Before Dali- Goya: Visions & Inventions beginning Thursday, June 13.

Visual Magic: Dali’s Masterworks in Augmented Reality uses burgeoning augmented reality (AR) technology to engage visitors while highlighting The Dali’s complete collection of its popular, “Masterworks.” Through this exhibit, Museum visitors  have an opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of the meaning behind these Salvador Dali works through the lens of AR.

Before Dali- Goya: Visions & Inventions showcases Francisco Jose de Goya y Lucientes (1746-1828), one of the most important Spanish artists of the late eighteenth and early nineteenth centuries, celebrated for his revolutionary paintings, drawings and engravings. Goya’s life and works deeply influenced Salvador Dali in his early years, and are considered by many scholars to be the basis for “modern” art.
