Meeting Magritte and Dali
presented by Timothy Baum

Timothy Baum is an internationally recognized art dealer, collector, curator and expert on Dada, Surrealism, and 20th-century art. He co-authored the book Graphic Work by Rene Magritte, and curated The Dali’s exhibition Man Ray. Over his life, Baum has accumulated a wealth of insider knowledge about the world of Surrealism. He met many of the most famous writers and artists of the 20th century, including Man Ray, Dali and Magritte. For this event, Dr. William Jeffett, Curator of Magritte & Dali, will engage in a conversation with Baum focusing on his encounters with these two titans of Surrealism, and touch on a multitude of details relating to the exhibit.
