Fashion Design Runway Event at Gibbs High School
The Dalí Museum invites you to feast your eyes on 28 surreal works of wearable art created by teen designers in this year’s Fashion Design at The Dalí program. The program, sponsored by Neiman Marcus, invites high school students to learn the fundamentals of design, construction and runway presentation from experienced artists and designers. Drawing inspiration from Salvador Dalí’s life and works, budding Tampa Bay high school talent (grades 9-12) create tangible connections between art and fashion.
The fashion design runway event will be judged by local leaders in the field who will name:
Most Wearable Design
Best Dalínian Interpretation
Best Runway Presentation
Best Use of Materials
Best in Show
Gibbs High School, Grande Theater
850 34th Street South
St. Petersburg, FL 33711
Cost: Free, registration required
Please support The Dalí’s educational programs by attending The Dalí Benefit Fashion Show on Thursday, February 6, 2020. Ticket proceeds from the event, presented by Neiman Marcus at International Plaza, Tampa, benefit the Museum’s education department, as the student designers present their runway looks along with Neiman Marcus models showcasing the spring collection.
