Dali & Beyond Film Series: 60 Years and Still in Vogue

Saturday, Jan. 13, 1–3pm
  • This event has passed.

The Dali & Beyond Film Series features an eclectic selection of films – both familiar and fantastic – with monthly themes ranging from horror, experimental and psychological to kid-friendly and world cinema. Before we bid adieu to our special exhibition, Dali & Schiaparelli, we invite you to enter Schiaparelli’s world of early 20th century Paris during this month’s Saturday films.

60 Years and still In Vogue – Horst P. Horst
At age 87, Horst allows himself to be the camera’s subject in this intimate portrait of the German born photographer, a “master of composition and light,” best known for his photographs of women and fashion taken for Vogue Magazine. A contemporary and friend of the likes of Dali and Schiaparelli, Horst was the first photographer ever exhibited at the Louvre.
