Coffee with a Curator: The Masterworks — Rediscovered, Reimagined

Wednesday, Jul. 03, 10:30–11:30am
  • This event has passed.

Coffee with a Curator is a focused, theme-oriented presentation on a variety of Dalí-related topics. The talk is presented by one of The Dalí Museum’s Curatorial/Education team or an invited speaker.

In conjunction with The Dalí Museum’s current exhibition, “Visual Magic: Dali’s Masterworks in Augmented Reality,” join Curator of Education Peter Tush for a deep dive into the world of Dalí’s Masterworks. Dalí’s Masterworks are ambitious narrative paintings that span from 1949 through 1976. Measuring from 5 to 13 feet, each summarizes a particular obsession of the year, weaving stories from physics and math, Catholicism and Spanish culture. This talk will explore key themes and reveal hidden secrets.

Cost: Free (parking is free for members as available; $10 parking for nonmembers)
Location: Raymond James Community Room (overflow seating available in the Will Raymund Theater)
