Peter Tush presents Know the Difference: Van Gogh’s Millet, Dalí’s Millet

Join us on YouTube for this streaming installment of our Coffee with a Curator series, where Museum Staff or invited guests speak on a range of Dalí-inspired topics.

This month’s lecture is Know the Difference: Van Gogh’s Millet, Dalí’s Millet. Join Dalí Museum Curator of Education Peter Tush for this exploration of two very different understandings of a shared artistic obsession—Jean-François Millet. This comparison will reveal the core differences between Van Gogh’s and Dalí’s world views in their mutual appreciation for this artist from Barbizon. Is Millet a source of spiritual inspiration and authentic sentiment or a source of latent sexual perversion and cannibalism? Are you more of a Vincent or a Salvador? Tune in and find out.
