potent potables: an evening of art & wine tasting

In conjunction with our current Picasso and The Allure of the South exhibition, we invite you to a special evening of art and wine tasting inspired by Picasso’s creative environs—in this case, the dramatic landscapes of Northern Spain.

You’ll begin with an exclusive viewing of our Picasso exhibit, where you can immerse yourself in Picasso’s art and be transported to a different time and place. Afterwards, we’ll appeal to your other senses with a delightful selection of wines and bites. During the tasting, you will experience wines—including Castell de Sant Pau Brut Nature Cava, Alonso Lopez Rioja Blanco, and Bon Mas Priorat, among others—from the regions in Spain that inspired some of Picasso’s most amazing artistic creations, including Catalonia and Barcelona, and have fun learning about the different vintages at the same time. The wines will be paired with exquisite bites from Chef Chuck Bandel of Café Gala designed to complement each.

Location: The Dalí Museum’s Raymond James Community Room
Cost: $50 for Museum members | $60 for non-members

Frederick Corriher, Regional Vice Presidents of Sales for MISA Imports, Inc

Frederick Corriher has been a Regional Vice Presidents of Sales for MISA Imports, Inc. since February 2020. MISA Imports is a leading importer of wine from around the world and specializes in Bordeaux. Frederick’s induction into the world of wine started at a younger age than most. His father, a passionate collector, taught wine appreciation courses out of their family home. And after graduating college, a trip to Burgundy with his father sparked his love affair with French winemaking culture. In May of 2004, he was inducted into the Burgundian wine society, the Confrérie des Chevaliers du Tastevin at the Château du Clos de Vougeot in France, before joining famed import company Robert Kacher Selections as the Southeast Regional Manager in December of the same year. After learning the ins and outs of the business, Frederick decided to make his own mark. In January of 2011, he founded Routes des Vins Imports (later renamed ‘Frederick Corriher Wine’), a French wine importing company representing growers in Champagne, Burgundy, the Rhône Valley, Languedoc-Roussillon, and Muscadet. Frederick’s extensive knowledge and expertise in French wine is well-known in the Southeast and around the country.
