How do I join or renew my membership?
There are three ways to join or renew your membership:
1. Here on our website. Go to our Membership page, choose your preferred level and click “Join, Give or Renew,” then complete the online form
2. In person at the Guest Services/Membership desk at the entrance of the Museum
3. By phone at 727.623.4708, Mon-Fri, 9am-5pm
Please allow up to four weeks for your membership cards to be processed and delivered. You may take advantage of your membership benefits right away by presenting proof of payment and a photo ID at the membership desk.
What are the benefits of membership?
Membership benefits include unlimited free Museum admission and free parking, as available, while visiting the Museum; express entry to the Museum; invitations to exhibition previews + special events; free or discounted curator-led tours, art films, and other activities; discounts in the Museum store and Cafe Gala.
Additional benefits are available for select levels. For instance, at the Master Level, membership includes everything noted above as well as eight guest passes, complimentary Allstate Roadside Assistance, exclusive networking opportunities, one private gallery tour for up to 10 guests, annual recognition in the Museum lobby, a 10% discount on use of the Raymond James Community Room, plus a complimentary suite of art prints (selected by staff and based on availability).
How Can I Give Someone A Membership?
Gift Memberships are processed online, over the phone or at the Museum. When you purchase a gift membership, it is sent as a gift packet, which includes membership card(s), a brochure and a gift card with the gift-giver's name, stating the recipient has received a membership as a gift.
The purchaser will receive a letter thanking them for the membership purchase and the tax value of the membership gift.
Can I Bring A Guest?
Members may bring an unlimited number of guests to the Museum during regular hours for $5 off the general admission price. Select membership levels receive a quantity of one-time-use guest passes that may be distributed to friends or family (see each membership level's benefits for details).
What Are The Restrictions On Free Parking?
Parking is free for Dali Museum members in the Museum lot as space is available, while visiting the Museum. Members without proof of membership will not receive free parking.
Members may only park in the Museum lot while visiting the Museum. Members may not leave their vehicle in the lot to visit other attractions.
Reciprocal Guests from other Museums (or NARM) and guests of members do not receive free parking.
Members with expired memberships visiting the Museum to renew memberships must pay for parking. However, that cost may be deducted from the membership payment on the same day.
How Many Guests Can I Bring To Member Events?
Membership events vary. Please check your invitation for guest privilege details.
How Can I Keep Up With Museum Exhibitions, Programs, And Events?
Members who have provided their email address to the Museum will automatically receive a monthly Membership e-Newsletter highlighting various activities and offerings at the Museum. We also suggest you sign up for our Weekly Email Newsletter and check our Events Calendar regularly for the most up-to-date information.
Are There Special Member Events?
The Dali hosts many events throughout the year. Many of these are free to members or are offered at a members discounted price. For a full list of member events visit our Events Calendar.
Do Members Get Special Rates To Events?
Members receive free or reduced admission to a variety of programs, including Coffee with a Curator, Yoga and the Junior Docent Summer Camp.
How Do I Register On The Dali Website?
To receive membership discount on all purchases (event tickets, merchandise, etc), members must register on our website with the email linked to their membership account. Membership discounts (when available) are applied automatically online. If you are a member and need to register, visit the Membership Registration page.
Passwords are kept private, only you will know your password. If you forget your password, click on the “Forgot your password?”, to reset your password.
Does The Dali Museum Accept Reciprocal Membership?
The Dali Museum participates in the NARM (North American Reciprocal Membership) program and our own local monthly reciprocal program. NARM members receive free admission for 2 adults and up to 5 children 17 and under and museum shop discount as long as they present a current NARM membership card validated with a gold North American Reciprocal sticker, or replica imprint of the NARM sticker. Guests are not included unless they present their own current membership card validated with the accepted NARM identification.
Please note: The Dali Museum restricts NARM privileges to members of other institutions within a 50 mile radius. Be sure to call ahead of your visit to confirm policies for admittance.
What Local Reciprocals Does The Dali Museum Offer?
Local reciprocal program is negotiated thought The Dali Museum and other local area museum and attractions. They are monthly agreed partnership of reciprocity and limited to 2 adult admissions and up to 5 children for the agreed month. Members of each participating attraction/museum receive free admission through the reciprocal month only. Each months reciprocity is noted in the previous months member newsletter and The Dali Museum online calendar.
Does The Dali Museum Restrict NARM Benefits Within 50 Miles?
The Dali does not accept NARM members from other museums within a 50-mile radius of The Dali Museum as it could ultimately have a substantial impact on our general visitation, which we rely on to operate the Museum.
There are four local museums that have a similar local restriction for our NARM level members including: The Tampa Museum of Art, Florida Museum of Photographic Arts, Great Explorations Children’s Museum and The Ringling Museum.
Please note: Some U.S. museums restrict benefits and “Family” benefits and are defined by each participating institution. Please visit the NARM website for more information and/or contact the institution prior to your visit to avoid any confusion.
How Do I Use My Guest Passes?
Members at the Dadaist Level and higher receive a quantity of guest passes each year which may be used for one-time free admission during regular Museum hours, whether or not the member is present. Guest passes will expire one year after the issue date. These guest passes cannot be used for admission to members-only previews and do not entitle the user to a Museum Store discount or other member benefits.
Can Family Members Or Friends Use My Membership Card?
Membership cards are not transferable; only the cardholder is entitled to use the card. The primary member must be present in order for "guest of" cardholders to receive free admission.
What Should I Do If I Lose My Membership Card?
Please visit the Guest Services/Membership Desk at the entrance of the Museum or email the Membership Department at email@example.com to request a replacement card. You may continue to take advantage of your membership benefits by presenting a photo ID at the membership desk. A replacement fee of $5.00 will be assessed for lost or stolen cards.
What Is The Membership Renewal Process?
Two months prior to your membership expiration, you will receive a renewal reminder via email featuring a link to renew online. If you don't renew at that time, you will receive a reminder/renewal form via mail 30 to 45 days before your membership is due to expire. Following that, we may reach out again following the expiration of your membership to remind you of all the great benefits of supporting The Dali.
Does My Gift Qualify For Corporate Matching Gifts?
Many corporations have matching gift programs for their employees, retirees and board members that will double and in some cases triple the portion of your gift that is tax deductible. This extra support is very much appreciated. Please contact your employer to obtain and submit an appropriate matching gift form.
Is The Dali Museum A Charitable Organization?
Yes, The Dali is a non-profit 501(c)(3) charitable organization. Learn more about applicable tax deductions.
What Is The Difference Between Membership And Gifts To The Annual Operating Fund?
Membership is a benefit-based program that encourages individuals to become active in The Dali Museum. Memberships at the Dadaist level and above are partially tax-deductible. See tax-deductible amounts listed next to each level.
Gifts to the Annual Operating Fund are general support-based gifts and are 100% tax-deductible. Both programs support the Museum and many individuals participate in both.
