Museum Store and Gardens remain open for 30 minutes after closing.

Note: The Museum opens regularly at noon on Sunday and closes at 5:30pm on Fridays. We are pleased to offer extended hours during the Picasso/Dali, Dali/Picasso exhibition (Nov 8, 2014-Feb 16, 2015). Standard Museum hours will resume Feb 17, 2015.

Our Town Conversation – Nadine Smith, Chief Executive Officer of Equality FL 6:30 – 7:45 PM

Our Town is a once-a-month conversation with people engaged in significant issues and topics in our town.Join Host Dr. Carol Mickett, a philosopher and artist, as we explore the life, projects and engagements of our guest.

Nadine Smith – co-founder and CEO of Equality Florida the state’s largest organization dedicated to ending discrimination based on sexual orientation and gender identity.

A former award-winning journalist turned organizer, Nadine was one of four national co-chairs of the 1993 March on Washington. She was part of the historic oval office meeting between then-President Clinton -the first such meeting between a sitting President and gay community leaders. She served on the founding board of the International Gay and Lesbian Youth Organization which celebrates 30 years in 2014.

She is s a Florida Chamber Foundation Trustee and is a board member for Green Florida and served on President Obama’s National Finance Committee. In 2013, was named one of the state’s “Most Powerful and Influential Women” by the Florida Diversity Council. She was also given the League of Women Voter’s Woman of Distinction Award earlier this year.

She lives in St. Petersburg with her wife Andrea and son Logan.
