The Genius Next Door: An interactive evening with the brightest minds in St. Petersburg

Get a rapid-fire grounding in the newest knowledge in science, art, education and business. The Genius Next Door is an interactive series featuring local professors, where audience members have the unique opportunity to learn how the brightest minds in St. Petersburg are changing global landscapes.

This month’s guests:

Dr. Mark Walters is a professional journalist and veterinarian and teaches narrative journalism and reporting with a focus on science and medicine at USFSP. Dr. Walters has a special interest in alternative story forms such as audio and video and founded and directs VideoWorks, the university’s digital productions studio.

Dr. Varol Kayhan is an Assistant Professor of Information Systems & Decision Sciences at USFSP. His research interests include knowledge management, natural language processing, and social computing.

Cost: Free. Seating is on a first-come, first-serve basis. Series takes place in the Museum Theater.
