Fiesta de Frida: A Farewell Celebration

Our special exhibition Frida Kahlo at The Dali concludes today, so we invite you to join us as we celebrate all things Frida. In addition to extending our gallery hours until 6:30pm, Fiesta de Frida features

  •      Frida starring Salma Hayek and the PBS documentary The Life & Times of Frida Kahlo playing in rotation in the Theater
    •                10am – The Life and Times of Frida Kahlo
    •                11:45am – Frida starring Salma Hayek
    •                2pm – The Life and Times of Frida Kahlo
    •                3:45pm – Frida starring Salma Hayek
  •      Dress like Frida or Diego and get a Mexican milagro folk charm (also known as an ex-voto)
  •      Kids’ activities, crafts & face painting  3-5pm
  •      Ceremonial ribbon tying at the Wish Tree
  •      Frida-inspired specials at Cafe Gala and Tequila flights for sale from 4-6pm
  •      Merchandise specials in the Museum Store
  •      Mexican music throughout Museum and gardens all day

 

Come see the paintings, drawings and photographs one last time, and say your own adios to this exhibit dedicated to the world’s most celebrated female painter. It has been an honor to have her works & photos here.
