The Dali Museum Innovation Labs offers one-of-a-kind programs that carefully combine more than 60 years of psychology and management research on creativity, creative problem solving, and innovation, infused with Dali’s philosophy and methods to unlock creative potential.
Creative Problem Solving Boot Camp, 1-day Course
A 2015 Bloomberg study produced a skill desirability and commonality index which listed creative problem solving as one of the most desirable and hardest to find skills that employers and other leaders seek out. In this one-day boot camp, The Dali’s Innovation Labs invites you to join our open-enrollment creativity masterclass within the inspiring surroundings of The Dali.
In this hands-on, high-impact learning format, participants will learn the tools and methods used by the top business schools in the world to instruct and facilitate the creative problem solving process. Led by seasoned creative problem solving practitioners Nathan Schwagler and Dr. Hank Hine, this course will boost your comfort and capability with creative thinking and creative problem solving in the workplace.
In this course, you will
Learn, experience, and apply a creative problem solving process
Discover new tools and techniques for generating, evaluating, and positioning new ideas
Meet uncertainty with flexibility and practice temporarily suspending judgment in order to create possibility space for new thinking
Specifically, you will learn how to:
Clarify challenges and opportunities, reframe situations, and articulate problem statements
Generate creative, breakthrough ideas on-demand
Develop raw ideas into solutions that work
Plan for the implementation of a creative idea
You will leave with:
A suite of proven creative thinking tools
A framework and process for creative problem solving in any situation
New connections to creative thinkers and doers
An orientation to The Dali and a curated gallery experience of a highly creative artist and innovator
Who should attend:
This workshop is a perfect fit for anyone who solves problems in their day to day life and would like to be even better at it. The course is designed to be a 50/50 split between instruction and action-learning, so participants will have an opportunity to immediately apply tools and insights to challenges presented by the facilitators. If you’re responsible for creative thinking in your organization, or if you need to get creative thinking out of individuals and teams you lead or support, then this course is for you.
