Coffee with a Curator – Joan Kropf: “Visual Illusions”

Wednesday, Aug. 06, 10:30–11:30am
  • This event has passed.

Coffee with a Curator is a focused, theme-oriented multimedia presentation on a variety of Dali-related topics, with free coffee provided courtesy of Cafe Gala. The talk is presented by one of the Dali Museum’s Curatorial/Education team or a guest speaker.

Dalí’s mastery of visual illusion is the focus of the “Marvels of Illusion” exhibition. For this talk, Joan Kropf, Dali Museum Curator of Collections and Deputy Director, expands on the exhibit by examining Dali’s most important illusion-based work from across his surrealist period in the 1930s. For this talk, she will focus on work not in the Dali Museum Collection.

Cost: Free.
Location: Series takes place in the Community Room or Theater.
Series sponsored by Cafe Gala.
