A monthly event that introduces Salvador Dali and the Dali Museum to families with children (recommended ages 6-12).
This fun and interactive tour is led by a Dali docent as well as a roster of junior docents who have chosen Dali
paintings and other works which specially appeal to children.
The tour is followed by a Spanish-themed breakfast buffet as well as hands-on activities. Breakfast occurs every first
Saturday of the month. Must purchase tickets in advance.
Children can discover the creative world of Dalí through games, puzzles and arts + craft activities which educate
and encourage family interaction. Dillydally with Dalí takes place under the direction of the museum's Family Programs
Coordinator in the Education Classroom. Saturday activities supported by Jeeves Law Group, P.A.
The Education Classroom is open Tuesday through Thursday at 11:15 am for storytelling, featuring selected books from the Dalí Museum library and store.
The Education Classroom is open Monday through Saturday from 10 am - 5:30 pm + Sunday from 12 noon - 5:30 pm, and is filled with activities children and their families can explore on their own.
Created in 1984, the Dali Museum Junior Docent Program is a summer camp offered to children 9 to 12 years of age.
The Junior Docents are trained in a one-week session where they receive personal attention as they learn about the
collection. This program concludes with a Friday afternoon tour and reception where the children get to share their
knowledge of Dali and his paintings with the public.
Junior docents are encouraged to put the information in their own words, helping them to appreciate art in new ways.
They participate in fun, surreal-inspired activities; and they make new friends. Three one-week sessions every Summer.
